Cyril Ellen’s 1918 RAF Commission

1ST APRIL<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

To mark 100 years today since the birth of the RAF (Royal Air Force), I’m posting a copy of the Commission that Harvey’s grandad, then Lieut. Cyril Norman Ellen D.F.C.<\/a><\/strong>, received in November 1918 and which had come into effect on 1st April 1918.<\/p>\n

Cyril was based in Stavros in Greece at the time and Frank Marlowe, one of the pilots serving with him, wrote in his diary: –<\/p>\n
