Whilst we were there, we visited <strong><a title=\"Westminster College in Cambridge\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westminster.cam.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Westminster College in Cambridge<\/a><\/strong>, a centre for learning within the United Reformed Church, which also houses several <strong><a title=\"Westminster College Archive Collections\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westminster.cam.ac.uk\/library-archives-history\/our-collections\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sets of archives<\/a><\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The records of Cheshunt College (including correspondence with the Countess of Huntingdon).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Presbyterian Church of England archive.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The United Reformed Church History Society collection.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The records of Westminster College.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Churches of Christ archive.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_1699\" style=\"width: 460px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1699\" class=\"wp-image-1699 size-full\" title=\"Westminster College, Cambridge\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hibbittbarnes.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/westminster-college.jpg\" alt=\"Westminster College, Cambridge\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hibbittbarnes.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/westminster-college.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.hibbittbarnes.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/westminster-college-150x113.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-1699\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Westminster College, Cambridge<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I&#8217;ve mentioned before how my 6 x great-grandfather, <strong><a title=\"John Dando the elder\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hibbitt.org.uk\/familytree\/fam1782.html\">John Dando the elder<\/a><\/strong>, wrote to the Countess of Huntingdon in 1771, having first been introduced by letter by Rev&#8217;d Rowland Hill, an itinerant preacher with whom John was acquainted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rev&#8217;d Hill wrote\u2026<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;According to your Ladysps orders I have spoken to a Hatter who has sent his terms in Letter By Mr. Hawksworth.
